Hispanic Heritage Month Toolkit

Toolkit to support resources for HHM

However, these high levels of motivation and financial confidence are not enough to ensure Latinos are prepared for their long-term needs. Many Latino households are largely focused on day-to-day financial priorities, such as paying down debt, building emergency savings, and saving for health care1. With nearly one-third of Latinos living in multi-generational households2, familial finances can add a layer of complexity that prevent employees from making additional contributions to long-term savings vehicles.

Through inclusive benefits offerings, employers can play a unique role in partnering with Latino employees to alleviate short-term financial burdens that may limit engagement in workplace benefits plans, and to build upon the positive momentum to achieve financial success in the future.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, Fidelity has compiled a list of tools and resources to better understand the unique goals, needs, and challenges of many Latino employees, and provide employers with meaningful ways to engage their Latino employees to help them achieve their long-term goals.
