Many people don’t know that if a child is covered by their parents’ HSA-eligible health plan and is not a tax dependent, they can open and contribute to their own HSA. We know most young people look to their parents for financial advice, so are seeking to reach young adult children through their parents.

What are the goals of this campaign?

Educate parents about their adult children’s potential ability to open their own HSA, with information they can share with their children to help them make health benefits decisions.

When will these communications be sent?

This one-touch email is sent week of May 27.

Who will receive this campaign?

HSA accountholders who have beneficiaries or dependents listed aged 21–25.

What message is available?

This is a one-touch email campaign without variability.
