Financial Wellness Month Toolkit
What is financial wellness?
Financial wellness means feeling confident and in control of your money – being able to cover short-term needs while planning for the future. It’s about saving and spending more mindfully, paying down debt, and handling unexpected costs so you can enjoy life without constantly worrying about money.Yet, based on 2 million financial wellness checkups, we found:
- Nearly half of respondents are living paycheck to paycheck.3
- 62% of people are worried about debt.3
- 70% lack savings to cover unexpected costs and key goals.3
What this means for employers
You’ve worked to create a supportive environment where your employees can truly thrive. However, one in three full-time employees says that money worries have negatively impacted their productivity at work.4By investing in your team’s financial well-being, you can help them take the next step toward progress and feel better about navigating their money priorities. Financial wellness can help employees build a strong foundation with 2 out of 3 saying they trust their employers to help improve their well-being.5
