Help protect your employees from scams

There are lots of scams out there by fraudsters seeking access to financial accounts. A common scam is using a phone number that appears to belong to a financial institution, and presenting themself as an employee of that institution. The fraudster tells the customer their account has been compromised and asks them to go onto the institution’s website to reset their password and share with them the resulting one-time passcode. They then use the code to reset the customer’s password and/or add bank instructions to withdraw funds.

We are reminding participants through messaging on NetBenefits to be aware of scams like this. We encourage you to do the same and have provided some resources you can share with your employees.
