PRE-TRANSITION | Share these communications to educate participants about what to expect for the plan transition. As a plan moves to a new record keeping provider, participants may experience a hold period during which they have little or no access to their accounts.

DURING TRANSITION | Employees may ask about how to update their accounts. These communications help employees understand what happens during the hold period and what, if any, actions they need to take. |
SCENARIO A – Investment Mapping | |
Use this content if the plan transitions to Fidelity with assets mapping to what the Plan Sponsor believes are funds with similar investment objectives and risks. This scenario requires NO action on the part of the employee.
Tutorial A – This quick video addresses how to register online, update their profile, and what steps they can take once the plan is out of the hold period. OFT Email A – Email to disseminate the investment mapping tutorial. Digital Signage Linking to Tutorial A – For use on an intranet site or monitors in an office, this digital signage notifies participants that their workplace savings plan is moving to Fidelity, and it includes a QR code for Scenario A. |

SCENARIO B – Investment Election Window | |
Use this content if the plan transitions to Fidelity with an investment window during which participants choose their investments or otherwise get invested in the default fund. In this case, there IS action needed by the employee.
Tutorial B – This quick video addresses how to register online, update their profile, and what steps they can take to choose investments. OFT Email B – Email to disseminate the investment window tutorial. Digital Signage Linking to Tutorial B – For use on an intranet site or monitors in an office, it notifies participants about how to take action on their accounts and describes Scenario B. |
POST-TRANSITION | Once employee access has been restored, these communications can be shared with participants.
Poster – For use in break rooms, hallways, warehouses, etc., after the hold period. It indicates that the workplace savings plan has moved to Fidelity. It includes a QR code to download the Fidelity NetBenefits® app. Digital Signage – For use on an intranet site or monitors in an office, this digital signage notifies participants that their workplace savings plan has moved to Fidelity. It includes a QR code to download the NetBenefits® app and a text code to register their account. Screen saver – Can be used on a monitor to welcome participants to Fidelity, and it includes a text code to set up their plan beneficiaries. |
