The top 3 easy steps to begin setting up your HSA program:
- Step 1 – HSA Program Set up
Review the HSA Program Setup Checklist, which explains the data you will need to provide Fidelity for your program set up - Step 2 – Submit enrollment record file data.
Once the HSA program is live in the portal (typically on the next business day after Step 1 is completed) you will be ready to submit enrollment data. This file is used to tell Fidelity who enrolled in the HSA-eligible health plan and is eligible to contribute to an HSA. Submitting your enrollment records will trigger a Fidelity communication to HSA-eligible employees that direct them to NetBenefits® to open an HSA - Step 3 – Submit your contribution file.
The contribution data file tells Fidelity the amount and source of the contributions flowing into your employees' account. Your implementation is considered complete once your first contribution file has been accepted and successfully funded.

As you move through each step of the process, you may receive reminder emails to help ensure the necessary data is being provided to Fidelity in a timely manner to support the launch of your HSA program. |
